LANDMARK has been operating since 1998 and was formed with the intention of providing a civil engineering and building service to the construction industry. The type of work undertaken has been focussed towards the lump sum all risk civil engineering and groundwork packages of major property developers within the south east of England.
The company currently operates at a turnover in excess of £18 million, which has been achieved by steady but continued growth since its inception.
We are particularly keen to highlight that expansion has been as a result of repeat or recommended business. This situation is borne out of the excellent and conscientious service given by our construction operatives and back up management.
The company is committed to putting its’ clients needs first. It strives to provide excellent quality of workmanship together with speed of construction. This in turn enables the client to achieve its own objectives in terms of presentation and time.
The company directly employs over 90% of its staff and operatives. Surveying, estimating, engineering, buying and contracts management are all performed by in house direct employees. Site foreman and operatives are again mostly directly employed.
Plant needs are provided by our associated company – Johnson Plant - and is therefore effectively controlled by Landmark. Our plant fleet is always well maintained and kept in a highly presentable condition during its time on site.
Health and safety is of utmost importance to us. All requirements of the Health and Safety executive are adhered to. Regular safety visits are carried out by both our in house staff and retained external inspectors. We implement a continual operative training programme which includes weekly tool box talks and outsourced training courses.
We are able to provide a highly efficient estimating service for “Spec and Drawings” as well as BOQ’s contracts.
We operate a fully computerised estimating and surveying service. A full Bills of Quantities is presented to the client for every successful tender that we produce.
